Librarian/Vendor Relationships-
What Every Librarian Needs to Know When
Preparing for a Salesperson’s Visit

Presented by Mike Gruenberg
Organzied by Laura Forshay, METRO

Register at: http://metro.org/events/169/
$25 for SLA-NY and METRO members.  $40 for non-members.

When a salesperson makes an appointment to see a librarian, the reality is that certain expectations by both parties need to be met. Time is valuable and the results of that appointment need to be apparent for both parties. Too often, the salesperson and/or the librarian fail to be fully prepared.

In this workshop, Mike Gruenberg, a sales executive with 34  years of experience selling successfully to libraries throughout the world, will review the expectations of both the librarian and salesperson and by doing so will impart knowledge necessary for librarians to have a greater understanding of the sales process and how to be fully prepared for the sales call.

All librarians who interact with salespeople should attend.

Mike Gruenberg’s name in the Information Services Industry is synonymous with winning results – in sales team development and leadership, in performance and customer satisfaction, and in his own success in selling complex information services into demanding markets worldwide. Mike’s track record during more than 30 years in the Industry is headlined by the significant profit performance he has delivered in every position he has held.
