SLA-NY Membership Reminder – SLANY Joblog is available!

The SLA-NY Joblog is a free local resource for NYC region employment opportunities.  Our membership counts on our service when looking for local work opportunities and we would like to make sure every area position is represented.  Please keep us in mind when library, knowledge management, and information positions at your organization come available.

Our regional focus is quad-state (Southern NY, Northern NJ, Philadelphia area PA and Southern CN). This is to ensure that our members will find great jobs that they can commute to using NYC area commuter services such as NYC MTA, MetroNorth, LIRR, NJTransit, and Amtrak.

When submitting a job, the best format for easy transfer to the Joblog is to put the description in the body of your email.  Make sure you have the following (minimum):

-          Title

-          Full-time, part-time

-          Temporary or permanent

-          Hours to be worked: shift span

-          How you want the applicant to apply for the position

-          What to include in the cover letter or email subject line
(such as a job identification number)

By all means share the resource with your HR recruiter.
